The team from of Faculty Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada which consisted of Dhany Putri Ekasari (Economics 2014) and Wida Reza Hardiyanti (Economics 2014) won the first place in the Paper Competition National Development Conference held on 4-6 May 2017 in Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The theme of the competition was the Poverty Alleviation Program (PAP) which became one of the important points in SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in achieving No Poverty.

The series of events in the competition consisted of team presentation on 4th May 2017, followed by Focus Group Discussion on 5th May 2017. At the competition, the FEB UGM team competed with 14 other teams from other universities; Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Hassanudin, and Universitas Negeri Semarang.
