The undergraduate student team from Faculty of Economics and Business UGM which consisted of Amelia Amanda Jasmine (Accounting 2016) and Rizkyajeng Pradnya Devi (Accounting 2016), won First Winner and Best Presentation in the National Scientific Writing Competition ACTIVE 2018 on 3-5 November 2018 at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS).

National Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) ACTIVE (Accounting Society in Versatility) is an annual event organized by the Accounting Student Organization FEB UNS. Each year, ACTIVE always raises the latest issues in the world of accounting as its big theme. This year, the main theme of ACTIVE was "Information Disclosure Post-Tax Amnesty" in response to the tax amnesty that Indonesia has done in welcoming global tax information disclosure. This main theme also became the topic of one of the ACTIVE event series which was The National Paper Competition.

The National Scientific Writing Competition selection process consisted of three stages: abstract submission, full paper submission, and paper presentation. On the first stage, all participants must sent an abstract of their paper by referring to one of the sub-themes given all participants. After that, the abstract selection process was carried out and 26 teams with the best abstracts were asked to submit their full paper. The best ten then got invited to FEB UNS on November 3- 5 2018 to take part in the final round of The National Paper Competition. The teams were challenged to present the paper they have made in front of the three judges with the background of practitioner, academic, and regulator. Each presentation consisted of 15 minutes of paper presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A session.

Besides The National Scientific Writing Competition, ACTIVE also has a series of other events such as Seminar Nasional which took place on Rektorat UNS Auditorium and ACCESS Accounting Olympiad. The awarding of the first, second, third winner, and best presentation as the highlight of the event was held at the Indonesian Cultural Gathering Night (ICGN). The event was closed with a field trip to the Danar Hadi Museum, Surakarta Palace, and Keris Museum the next day.
