UFLL 2018

Lydia Lionita Sihaloho (Accounting 2015) won 1st place in the group category along with Rhakee Bhatari (student from Universitas Padjajaran) and Ian Kantona (student from Universitas Indonesia) in a competition held by PT Unilever Indonesia, the Unilever Future Leaders ’League (UFLL) 2018 on 26-30 November 2018. This competition is an annual competition held by PT Unilever Indonesia, which annually brings real-life cases from Unilever brands. This year, the case taken is from the Vaseline.

This UFLL 2018 selection begins with sending a CV and uploading a marketing campaign idea video for Vaseline on Youtube. Of the approximately 2000 people who registered, finally 33 finalists were selected to take part in the UFLL Camp for 5 days in Tangerang and Bogor. The first day of the camp was filled with introduction of 33 finalists with several managers at Unilever, introduction of new cases from Vaseline for the semifinals, visit to Graha Unilever, and the formation of 11 teams consisting of 3 people from various leading universities in Indonesia. The second and third days were filled with material sessions with various themes from managers at Unilever. On the fourth day, a presentation of solution for Vaseline case was held by 11 teams. The jury in the semifinal round is the Vaseline brand manager, Unilever HR manager, and marketing manager. After the presentation was completed, three teams were chosen to advance to the final round on the fifth day.

In the final round on the fifth day, the three teams again had to present the solution of the Vaseline case in front of Unilever's marketing director and HR director and then answer questions from the jury. In addition, the three teams that qualified for the final stage received additional assignment to make a Youtube video campaign for Vaseline which then also had to be displayed before the jury. Achieving the best score, Team Keleku consisting of Lydia Lionita Sihaloho (FEB UGM), Rakhee Bhatari (Unpad), and Ian Kantona (UI) won 1st place in the group category in this year's UFLL competition.
