As a business school that has gained AACSB accreditation, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is committed not only meet the standards of excellence, but also committed to ongoing improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver high quality education to students.

Dashboard for Excellence Quality and Productivity Improvement (DEQPI) is one of the programs under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada for increased field of research.

Index WWU research seminar in collaboration between the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) was held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Audio Visual room, FEB-UGM. Speakers at the seminar, Rika Fatimah PL, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Director DEQPI FEB-UGM) and Dr. Nahiyah Jaidi Faraz (UNY) acted as moderator.

In his speech, Prof. Wihana Jaya Kirana, M.Soc.Sc., Ph.D., Dean of FEB-UGM, accompanied by Muhammad Edhie Purnawan, MA., Ph.D., Vice Dean of Field Research, Devotion to the Community, Cooperation and Alumni, presenting that this dashboard is one of the program impact innovation that aims to improve research and teaching. Program is in line with the spirit of AACSB.

Rika Fatimah PL, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D., in her presentation said that research is motivated by the desire to replace the perspective of gender to be "unique". This uniqueness is a new angle of looking at the differences between men and women. The uniqueness of women in contrast to better highlight the term gender equality between men and women, while the "uniqueness" more emphasis on how differences between women and men is a natural tendency of His.

A discussion of gender generally depart from psychology and sociology. While at WWU Index study, which is derived from the perspective of business management, especially productivity and quality. Furthermore, Rika Fatimah PL, ST., M.Sc., Ph.D., said that the findings in the study WWU Indonesia-Malaysia Index is very exciting to be addressed by making them best practice and identify room for improvement. This index can be used as a reference for decision-making quality and productivity improvement in a more focused, efficient and priorities.

The findings in this study indicate that greater emphasis needs to be taken by the government to provide more opportunities for women, especially in terms of self-development. Skills, knowledge, and creativity can be used to improve the freedom of women in self actualization in family life and society.

The results of this study are expected to become a new barometer that is used as a reference to national and international standards. In addition, results from this study can serve as a reference that supports the government's policy-making women working. It is expected that this index can be enhanced or bring existing indices for the better.

The seminar was hosted by Sudiyanti S.E., M.Sc (UGM), and seminars attended by Lecturers and Students of UGM, FE UNY Lecturers, representatives of several agencies, the Indonesian Business Women Association, Department of Labor and Transmigration Provinces and Districts of Bantul, Women’s Organization Cooperation Agency, and WIPI.
