Friday (24/2), Faculty of Economics and Business UGM reinforced the cooperation which had been agreed few years ago. The event titled "Kuliah Umum Kebanksentralan: Outlook Tantangan dan Arah Kebijakan 2017" and took place in Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium, Magister Manajemen UGM Building. It consisted of two main segments: general lectures and the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tridharma foundation.

Singapore, 4 April 2016 (Monday) – Dr Tahir (翁俊民), Founder of Indonesia’s Mayapada Group, and his son Jonathan Tahir (翁大川), have contributed S$1 million to establish the Tahir SMU-UGM Management and Faculty Development Programme (MFDP) at Singapore Management University (SMU).

Indonesian Economy is now in a transition period. After decades of economic growth and decrease in poverty, Indonesian economy is facing the challenge of urgent evaluation on how the government should make and apply their policies. Some problems in Public Sector Management are said to be the corruption, favoritism, and bureaucracy, which getting more and more attention. Indonesian government has been continuing the reformation on the macroeconomics policies, fiscal decentralization, financial reformation, loan re-structuring, and privatization problems. Those economics challenges are in urgent need of improvement of governmental management to increase the efficiency, transparency, and public sector accountability.
