NUS Startup Ecosystem Program 2025

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), through its Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU), has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial development of students. FEB’s commitment was reflected in the participation of 14 FEB UGM students in the NUS Startup Ecosystem Program 2025, held in Jakarta and Bandung from January 5 to 12, 2025.

These fourteen students are from FEB UGM’s Accounting and Management programs, including Apriana Vika Vianbara (Management, 2021), Virdza Anditha Arya Putri (Management, 2023), M. Faza Naufal (Management, 2022), Ando Fandah Belvian (Accounting, 2022), Fazmi Rizki Al Ghifari (Management, 2024), Ibnu Zidan Alfarij (Accounting, 2024), and Azzumaraa Akmalia (Management, 2024).

Other participants include Jonathan Cahaya Kristianto (Accounting, 2024), Paulina Berliana Ananto (Management, 2022), Maria Erika Widierasti (Management, 2022), M. Zhorif Asyraf MT (Management, 2022), M. Alfie Ramdhan (Management, 2022), Shalom Emmanuel Levy Atie (Management, 2022), and Desi Indah Lestari (Management, 2022). CSDU supported these students through administrative assistance, mentorship, and funding.

The program was a collaboration between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Tarumanagara Foundation, supported by Universitas Indonesia (UI) and Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Two hundred students from NUS and other leading universities in Indonesia participated in the program, guided by experts, mentors, and judges.

During the event, the organizers divided the 14 FEB UGM students into different teams, each pitching group comprising five students from other universities. This team arrangement aimed to create a collaborative atmosphere and enrich the participants’ experience through different backgrounds.

One of the participants, M. Zhorif Asyraf MT (Management, 2022), shared his thoughts on participating in the NUS Startup Ecosystem Program 2025. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to gain new insights and experiences.

“I see this as a unique opportunity to gain international exposure. It expands my global understanding of business and startup ecosystems and provides valuable experience interacting with students from different universities and backgrounds,” said Zhorif.

The NUS Startup Ecosystem Program 2025 serves as a platform for students to explore entrepreneurial ecosystems. Throughout the program, participants could learn from experts, visit various startups and incubators, attend entrepreneurship workshops and trainings, explore the local culture, network with startup founders, and participate in pitching sessions.

By participating in this program, FEB UGM students will gain motivation to develop their entrepreneurial spirit and contribute to building a stronger startup ecosystem in Indonesia.
