The International Doctorate in Business (IDB) program at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada is an internationally oriented doctoral program designed for professionals and academics aiming to lead transformative change in global business. With a focus on transdisciplinary research and strategic leadership, the program bridges academic theory and real-world practice through collaboration with international faculty, industry, and government partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• A graduate of Bachelor’s and Master’s programs from a reputable university.
• A minimum TPA score of 550 and TOEFL score of 550 (or IELTS 6.5).
• At least 7 years of professional experience.
• A strong record of leadership.

Please prepare and upload the following documents:
1. Official Master’s Degree Certificate from an accredited program in a relevant field.
2. Official Academic Transcript from the Master’s program with GPA requirements as follows:
• GPA ≥ 3.00 for graduates from A-accredited programs
• GPA ≥ 3.25 for B-accredited programs
• GPA ≥ 3.50 for C-accredited programs
3. Valid Aptitude Test Score (issued within the last 2 years):

5. Statement of Purpose
Write a short essay (max. 1,000 words) addressing the following:
1. Your motivation for pursuing the IDB and your professional goals
2. How the IDB program will support your goals
3. Your primary research interests, including:
• Why do these topics matter to you
• How deeply have you been engaged with this topic
• The impact you aim to create (for your organization and society)

Admission Period
Admissions for the February 2026 intake will be open from August to December 2025.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of two stages:
1. Document screening
2. Interview with the academic committee
Program Duration & Tuition Fee
Duration: 3 years (6 semesters)
• Tuition Fee: Approximately IDR 50,000,000 per semester*
• Year 1: Coursework-based
• Year 2-3: Research-based
* Currently under administrative processing at the university level to be formalized in August 2025.
