Gresika Bunga Sylvana, student of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, was elected as the delegate for Yogyakarta Special Province Indonesia to join Indonesian Youth Parliament Assembly. 33 delegates accross nation attended the event which took place in Jakarta from January 28 – February 3, 2012.

Doubts of the government's fuel subsidy in 2011 and are mainly due to the strong political overtones imaging. The government also tends to be indecisive for the preparation of the elimination strategy of the most optimum fuel subsidy. Even the roadmap of the fuel subsidy reduction has been prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, The Governement is still away from realizing it. Moreover, the studies recommendations from three university consortium consisting of UGM, UI, and ITB in 2011, are ignored. Whereas the subsidy control study is the mandate of the decree, article 10 of the Year 2010 pertaining the State Budget 2011.

Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada and Djarum Foundation helds its Hand Over assistance ceremony of Djarum Foundation educational assistance to the Faculty of Economics and Business. The aid given is in the form of educational infrastructure manifested in furniture and electronics of the auditorium at the Pertamina Tower. A simple ceremony held at the Faculty hall attended by all faculty members, alumni, staff, students, and also Djarum Foundation scholarship recipient.

Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada held a graduation ceremony for 69 people of undergraduate program in the second period of academic year 2011/2012, located at University Club. Graduates comprised of 64 people from regular and international program, and 5 people from swadaya program.

Saturday (14/01), Journal of Indonesian Economy and Business (JIEB) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada, held a prestigious event, Seminar Best Paper Award 2011.
