A team of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), known as SKY Consulting, secured 2nd place in the Marketing Plan Competition held as part of the Creativepreneur Festival #4 organized by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) on December 21, 2024.
The SKY Consulting team consists of Rifaldi Pratama Siboro (Management 2022), Agnes Yohana Pangaribuan (Management 2022), Muhammad Akhyar Abiyyu (Management 2022), and Fathin Nabil Hakim (Management 2022). They won second place in this competition, themed “Sustainable Business: Transforming MSMEs in the Domestic Market,” competing against 39 other teams from 78 universities across Indonesia.
Rifaldi explained that in the preliminary round, they selected Dairycious, a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) in the yogurt industry, as the subject of their marketing strategy analysis. They then developed marketing strategies and future business recommendations for the company.
“We chose Dairycious for our marketing strategy analysis and provided the most optimal strategic recommendations because we believe Dairycious has the potential to compete in the yogurt industry despite still being classified as an SME,” said Rifaldi.
Recognizing Dairycious’ significant potential in the Indonesian yogurt market, SKY Consulting formulated a Phygital strategy. This marketing approach integrates online and offline methods to create a more engaging and interactive customer shopping experience.
Thanks to their hard work and in-depth market research, SKY Consulting advanced to the final round, competing against nine other top teams. Their presentation and strategic analysis impressed the judges and secured them second place in the competition.
“We are thrilled that our strategy received special recognition from the judges. Our Phygital Marketing concept was praised for its strong research foundation and relevance to current market trends,” he added.
With this achievement, SKY Consulting hopes to continue contributing to MSMEs by helping them develop effective marketing strategies. Their win also proves that dedication and hard work yield remarkable results.
“We hope to continue to innovate and bring more achievements to FEB UGM in the future,” he concluded.
