Five FEB UGM Student Teams Won National Champion in KBMK 2021

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) is again proud. Five FEB UGM student teams representing UGM in the National Student Competition for Business, Management and Finance 2021 (KBMK 2021) managed to bring home the most national medal by winning five titles in five categories of KBMK 2021. This proud achievement was achieved by the Sukapura Team consisting of Yadi Suryadi (Accounting 2018) and Wulandari (Accounting 2018) who won 1st place or Gold Medal in the Investigative Audit Finance category. In the same category, the Catalyst Team consisting of Adilla Sita Yodianti (Accounting 2018), Bennityo Maxwell (Accounting 2018), and Excel Kharisma Pratama (Accounting 2018) also managed to got 3rd place or Bronze Medal achievements.

In another category, namely Investment Research, the champion was successfully won by The Capital Team consisting of Ahnaf Yassar Lilo (Economics 2019) and Saefu Robani (Management 2019) who managed to bring home 2nd Place or Silver Medal. Another FEB UGM team, the Bullish Capital Team consisting of Wildheno Hanif Ircan( Management 2018), Novyan Melati Thang Jaya(Accounting 2018), and Riadi(Accounting 2018) won 3rd place in the same category and got a bronze medal.

While in the Case Analysis Category in the Marketing Management, the Triplets Team consisting of Sony Budiarso (Accounting 2018), Safa Carissa Purnomo Putri (Management 2019), and Salsabila Athirah (Management 2019) won 3rd Place or Bronze Medal. The Triplets team also won a special award as a team with sharp and balanced technology and business analysis skills.

KBMK is one of the prestigious competitions held by the National Achievement Center under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. KBMK is an event to evaluate the academic ability and reasoning of students in the field of science, and an effort to bring closer partnerships between academia, business and government. KBMK 2021 carries the theme “Innovation of the Nation’s Children to Erase Poverty and Empowerment of Clean and Affordable Energy Ecosystem Potential in the Context of Preparation for the Post-Covid-19 Era in the Framework of Business, Management and Finance Sciences”, KBMK 2021 was organized by the National Achievement Center online on 13-15 September 2021.

This year, the 2021 National Achievement Center KBMK will be held in collaboration with the University of Indonesia. The implementation of the 2021 KBMK consists of 8 categories of competition branches, namely: Business Planning with Affordable Clean and Renewable Energy Ecosystem Aspects, Case Analysis in Marketing Management, Case Analysis in Human Capital Management, Case Analysis in Operational Management, Investment Research, Investigative Audit Finance, and Commercialization of Research and Technology, as well as the category of scientific essay writing. KBMK 2021 was attended by a total of 1,679 participants divided into 454 teams from various universities throughout Indonesia.

In addition to the most national medals, the team delegation from UGM at the KBMK 2021 managed to record as the most national semifinalists who passed 7 teams. The next record, UGM managed to become the most national grandfinalists with 7 teams that also qualified for the grand final of KBMK 2021. The number of medals won by UGM in 2021 KBMK also increased by 250% from last year where in KBMK 2020 UGM only managed to record two medals, and in KBMK 2021 won five medals.
