FEB UGM Students Wins Best Paper and Verbal Commendation at NTU MUN 2023

Monday (27/3), three students from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) made international achievements in the Nanyang Technology University Model United Nations 2023 (NTU MUN 2023) in Singapore. In this International Level United Nations (UN) Assembly Simulation Competition, the team from UGM consisting of Christansya Eliora Manossoh (Economics-IUP 2022), Muhammad Alfi Ramadhan (Computer Science-IUP 2021), and Najwa Waq'iah (Management 2022) won two awards prestigious. All three are the UGM Model United Nations Community (UGM MUN) members.
NTU MUN 2023 is held with a three-day conference system in Singapore. Two topics are raised in this competition, namely "Deliberating Upon The Rising Use of Cryptocurrency In International Money Laundering And Illicit Money Transfers" and "Addressing The Regulation Of International Tax Havens". NTU MUN 2023, or the 17th competition after its inception in 2006, offers 12 committees: FAO, UN Women, ECOFIN, HCC, ITU, UNSC, UN Senate, Press Corps, ILO, UNEP, UNDP, and ASEAN. In this competition, Christansya won the Verbal Commendation award as the delegate of Iran in the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) and Best Position Paper by Najwa as the delegate of Egypt in the UN Women Council. Christansya revealed that her victory could not be separated from various parties.
