Student of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) in Economics class of 2020, Schalke Anindya Putri, has just brought good news to the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Schalke won the election for outstanding students at the UGM level. Previously, Schalke was the most outstanding student in FEB UGM. After going through various stages of selection from January, on Saturday (01/04), Schalke officially won the title of The Most Outstanding Student UGM Undergraduate.
The selection was held through Supercamp activities by the UGM Directorate of Student Affairs (Ditmawa). Outstanding students from all faculties and schools participate in a series of selections, including creating Creative Ideas for undergraduate programs and Innovative Products for diploma programs, selecting the portfolio of achievements or superior achievements, and English. From the series of selections, Schalke Anindya Putri as the UGM’s Most Outstanding Undergraduate Student was selected to represent UGM in the upcoming selection of outstanding students at the national level.
Initially, Schalke received a recommendation from the Student Wellness and Personal Development Center (SWPDC), a FEB UGM student affairs unit, to participate in the faculty-level outstanding student selection. After winning, she was appointed to represent FEB UGM to compete in the UGM outstanding student selection against outstanding students from various faculties at UGM. She said she did not expect much when participating in the UGM selection and just wanted to fulfill the faculty's mandate as a representative.
Schalke revealed that she was very grateful for her victory. She said that holding the title of UGM’s Most Oustanding Student means she is responsible for maintaining a good image as a student. Along the journey, she always put academics first and joined several organizations and competitions related to her major. She is also grateful for having a supportive environment and being a positive influence on her. Congratulations to Schalke Anindya, and good luck preparing to compete nationally!
