The efforts of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) to expand the network of cooperation received a positive response from one of the subsidiaries of BUMN Indonesia, namely PT. Pupuk Indonesia Energi (PT. PEI), which engaged in the energy-producing industry as the subsidiaries of PT. Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) business group, the collaboration included the fields of Education, Research and Community Service with FEB UGM.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT. Pupuk Indonesia Energi with FEB UGM was held on Friday, 2nd November 2018, at FEB UGM. Present at the event was the President Director of PT. PIE Tentaminarto Tri Februartono who signed the Memorandum of Understanding accompanied by the Operational Director of PT. PIE Kuntari L. Wahyuningdyah, Finance and General Director of PT. Kaltim Daya Mandiri (KDM) Teguh Purwanto and Corporate Secretary & Legal Counsel PT. PIE, Benny Nasution, while the represenatative of FEB UGM was the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, Amirullah Setya Hardi, Ph.D. accompanied by Director of Economics and Business Research and Development Agency (EBReDA), Prof. Bambang Riyanto Lies Sugiyanto, Ph.D and Deputy Director for Research EBReDA, Artidiatun Adji, M.Ec., Ph.D.
Amirullah said that the collaboration was not only in the field of education, but expanded into research activities, and community service, studies, workshops and immersion programs. In addition, the President Director of PT. PIE welcomed the offer of cooperation by prioritizing graduates of FEB UGM to join the company they lead. "We are ready to be visited by students to get to know PT. PIE which is a holding company of PT. Pupuk Indonesia and we are also very open with programs offered by FEB, "said Tenta.
Tenta and his staff had the opportunity to make a tour of the Learning Center building and at the latest facilities at FEB UGM which is also its alma mater.
