BSI Collaborates with UGM to Open Entrepreneurship Laboratory at FEB UGM

On Friday (20/01) Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Yogyakarta held the inauguration of a new outlet sub-branch office (KCP) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The inauguration was attended by the Main Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk Hery Gunardi together with the Chancellor of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med., Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D. and submitting the Entrepreneurship and MSME Laboratory in collaboration with the UGM Faculty of Economics and Business. This activity is a step to take an active role in empowering MSMEs. The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM also attended this event which was represented by Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Akt., as Dean of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and FEB UGM Alumni, and Suyanto, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D as Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources.
Grand Opening Bank BSI KCP Yogyakarta UGM was opened with an opening dance, recitation of the Holy Quran, and singing of the Indonesia Raya anthem. Furthermore, the remarks were delivered by Hery Gunardi the Main Director of Bank BSI. Hery expressed his gratitude to the entire academic community, especially to the entrepreneur development room and MSME center. He is very optimistic that BSI will continue to make progress even though it is only two years old. Currently, BSI is ranked seventh out of 120 commercial banks in Indonesia in terms of assets and sixth in terms of financing.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of Universitas Gadjah Mada University, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG (K), Ph.D., congratulated the opening of the BSI KCP in the UGM campus area. The Chancellor is also grateful because BSI has opened learning facilities through the MSME laboratory and the entrepreneurship laboratory in FEB UGM as a means of learning with industrial and corporate partners.
During the event, BSI signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the UGM Vocational School in the Independence Learning-Independence Campus (MBKM) program. In addition, BSI also gave scholarships scholarship BSI to UGM of IDR 486 million which was handed over symbolically to two outstanding students. The event was closed with an activities office tour and was hospitable. Congratulations to BSI for opening a new KCP at UGM.
