The first batch of the training was previously held at the computer laboratory of Magister and Doctoral Program on the 13th and 14th of October 2017. Different from the second batch, the first batch was partially trained by Mr. Hendar Agung Satrio, a Senior Manager at PT Telkom Indonesia, to give hands-on information about the advantage of using Macros in preparing financial statement.

During the second batch of training, it started with Excel training on Thursday with Inixindo team, with Mr. Umar as the trainer. In this session, the participants were asked about their Excel knowledge and then learned other Excel methods that will help them in gaining more knowledge about Microsoft Excel. Thursday’s session is closed with review of what participants learned throughout the day. The next day, on Friday, the training changed to Macros training. In Macros training that is led by Mr. Umar, the Excel knowledge that participants got from previous day will be used in the Macros Software. At first, participants are asked whether they know Macros Software or not, and if they know what are the features that they know. Throughout the session, participants were able to gain more insight about Macros and its features.

This Excel and Macros training has been held twice, and in the second batch, many students shown their enthusiasms. Their enthusiasms can be shown by their eagerness in doing the training by willingly answer questions and asking questions. Finally, by participating in this training, students are expected to gain practical skill on using excel, macros and their functions. Aside from its various advantages for completing daily task, excel and macros are also very useful in preparing financial statements. Therefore, students who are equipped with this skill are expected to have more value added when later joining the workforce.
