After The International Academy for Financial Consumers (IAFICO) succeeded in holding the Annual Conference five times in various parts of Asia such as China, Japan, and Korea, Monday (04/19) at 09.00 WIB, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Gadjah Mada University was appointed to host the 6th Annual IAFICO Conference. With the big theme "Reshaping Investment and Funding through Digital Innovation", the 6th Annual Conference of IAFICO titled Global Forum for Financial Consumers was held at the Auditorium of Master of Management at FEB UGM. As part of its actions to fulfill its mission and vision, IAFICO holds an Annual Conference to discuss, and propose recommendations on various topics in finance.
This conference will discuss the potential of financial technology to advance financial inclusion, changing consumer protection and regulatory needs, and opportunities that arise for greater international development cooperation in finance. The focus areas will include evolving consumer behavior, business ethics, and best practices of financial institutions, regulatory safeguards, and financial education.
IAFICO is a professional academic organization established by financial, accounting and economic experts throughout the Asia-Pacific region, and focuses on presenting their latest research and sharing insights on the protection of financial consumers and international development cooperation in finance. IAFICO aims to serve as a global platform for sharing information, knowledge about financial products and services, regulation and supervision, institutions and culture, education, and training to serve the interests and welfare of financial consumers fairly. The conference aims to discuss, and propose recommendations on various topics in finance.
The mission of IAFICO is to share relevant information, about financial development, discuss financial problems in an impartial manner from the perspective of financial consumers, find long-term and short-term solutions for economic and social development, and provide recommendations for measuring and managing common problems in the whole country collectively.
