Sharing Knowledge Around the World of Accounting, IAPI and FEB UGM Hold CPA Days 2019

On Wednesday and Thursday, November 13-14, the annual CPA Days 2019 event was held by the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants (IAPI) in collaboration with the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), and the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM). CPA Days is an annual IAPI event and the largest event to share knowledge about accounting.

The event was held in the Learning Center Building of FEB UGM. The series of events includes seminars, exhibitions, and career fairs attended by various companies and the Public Accounting Firm (KAP). In addition, there was a dialogue session, namely sharing about the profession of the Public Accountant from competent speakers and also information on Full Time and Internship vacancies from the Public Accounting Firm & supporting companies. There are also accounting and auditing competitions at the national level that compete Accounting students from various universities in Indonesia.

CPA Days 2019 is held for two days. On the first day there was a Public Accountant Professional Seminar with the theme “Success in becoming a Public Accountant amidst the Wave of the Industrial Revolution 4.0: Regulatory Review and Business Review”. This event was collaborating with Firmansyah N. Nazaroedin (Head of PPPK, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia), Tarkosunaryo, MBA., CPA. (Chairperson of IAPI), and Syaiful Ali, Ph.D., Ak. CA. (Lecturer at the Department of Accounting, FEB UGM). In addition, the 2019 CPA Elimination Round of Competition was also held.

The following day continued with the Semifinal and Final Round Competitions and the Accountant Dialogue. With the theme “CPA Indonesia, Current Professional Qualifications to Achieve Dreams”, the Accountant Dialogue invited Aria Kanaka, CA., CPA. (IAPI Management Board, KAP Partners Aria Kanaka & Partners, member firm of Mazars SCRL), Sandra Pracipta, SE., Ak., CA., CPA. CPA ASEAN (IAPI Regional Coordinator in Yogyakarta, Head of KAP Sandra Pracipta CPA), and Dr. Suzy Noviyanti Budiono, MM., CPA., CA. (Central Java Regional IAPI Management Board, KAP Partners Bayudi, Yohana, Suzy, Arie (BYSA).

The event was closed by giving prizes to the winners of the competition. Champion number 1 was won by the TSM 1 team (Trisakti School of Management), Champion number 2 was won by PKN STAN 1 (STAN), and Champion number 3 was won by the Combine team (UGM). The winners are given prizes in the form of cash, ACPA exam vouchers, certificates as well as internship opportunities or work in well-known KAP.
