Kuliah Luring TA 2022/2023

In the Odd Semester of 2022/2023, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) took a bold step by conducting offline lectures and academic activities. Students from the class of 2019 and above are returning to their beloved campus, FEB UGM, while 2020 and 2021 students have the opportunity to attend lectures on campus after 2 or 4 semesters of online lectures. At the same time, UGM Freshmen (Gamada) of FEB UGM class of 2022 started the journey in their college by studying offline.

Raditya Isnanda, a 2019 Economics-IUP student, expressed his joy: “I’m so happy to finally be able to set foot on campus again! Even though I’ve had time to feel a semester and a half offline, it still doesn’t feel like it. I’m so excited that it’s my first offline class again, I purposely came earlier to reminisce a little haha.” He also added that there were several changes that he realized, including more incoming materials and more interactive classes, as well as hand washing facilities as a precaution against COVID-19. Raditya added that welcoming the 67th Anniversary of FEB UGM, he hoped: “I hope that FEB UGM can make UGM proud and, on an international scale, can make Indonesia proud. I also hope that FEB UGM will be better in the future and all developments planned for the future will run smoothly, amen. Listen, there have been rumors about an upcoming project for a new facility in FEB. Lastly, I want to wish you a happy birthday FEB UGM!”

Aura Putri Buwono Dewi, Accounting 2020 student, also shared her impressions during this offline lecture. As a Class of 2020 student, this is her first time running face-to-face lectures on campus after 2 years of doing it online. Aura Putri, commonly called Ara, is very happy to be able to experience offline lectures because she can feel the routine of getting up early to go to campus and feel the activities of organizations and committees offline. As a student who has experienced online lectures, he feels a significant difference starting from being more comfortable running lectures, being more disciplined, being more organized, and most importantly, vibes of being a student. To welcome the 67th FEB Anniversary, Ara gave some hope to FEB. “My hope for FEB is that FEB can continue to excel both students and lecturers, hopefully it will be more inclusive of lectures and student activities, and can be a comfortable place for students to socialize and develop themselves. Always successful FEB.”

Fathin Adib, Management 2022 student, said that he was very happy when he was accepted at FEB UGM, his expectations regarding this faculty paid off when he explored lectures. His journey as Gamada began with a university-level study orientation, namely PPSMB Palapa, a faculty-level study orientation, namely PPSMB Simfoni, and a study orientation at the department level, namely Soegeng Rawoeh to Ikamma (Soerti), all of which are carried out fully offline. In a series of study orientations, he felt excitement and fun, especially on the second day of PPSMB Simfoni and Soerti, as well as understood the facilities and curriculum at FEB UGM. As a new student, Adib felt that: “In offline lectures, lecturers are more of a facilitator, lectures also feel more interactive.” Welcoming the 67th Anniversary of FEB UGM “Hopefully FEB can improve the quality of its teachers, it is hoped that FEB can also make its facilities better, the canteen will be opened soon, and most importantly, hopefully, parking lot will be provided soon. In essence, I hope that the facilities and teaching staff will support lectures more.” “It is also hoped that Dies Natalis will be introduced to students and will be more enlivened,” added Adib.

The return of students to campus offline is a moment that FEB UGM students have been waiting for. The status of being a student is more felt when you are offline because you get experience in studying, socializing, organizing, and organizing committees directly. Students also gave their hopes to FEB UGM in the context of the 67th Anniversary so that it could be even better in the future. Welcome back FEB UGM students to the UGM campus and keep your spirit in attending lectures offline. Happy 67th Anniversary to FEB UGM and every success in the years to come.
