Friday (28/4) Master of Science and Doctoral Program Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MD FEB UGM) and Bank Jago collaborated to hold a webinar entitled "Webinar MD REFO: Collaborative Network Strategy Between Banking and Retail Crowd". The MD REFO webinar presents Sahid Dr. Sahid Susilo Nugroho, M.,Sc. , a lecturer from the Management Department of FEB UGM as the host and speaker, namely Yusuf Aria Putera (Funding CVM Lead - Merchant Business Bank Jago) and Mora Nasution (Head of Learning, Talent, Resourcing & Organizational Development).
The webinar was opened by remarks from the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and FEB UGM Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D. Gumilang opened that this webinar is one of our efforts at FEB UGM to understand more deeply the developments in the market and how we as academics can contribute by integrating business practices and situations in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as well as research and business development.
The webinar begins with a video profile and introduction to Bank Jago: a technology-based bank that serves MSMEs, retail, and mass market segmentation. Mora Nasution explained that Bank Jago will continue to be accompanied by an ecosystem that optimizes technology. Bank Jago has four main values, namely: Purposeful Growth, Life-Centricity, Fearless Creativity, and Empowered Agility. Mora also added about the development of Bank Jago since 1992 as well as the modern and supportive office facilities of Bank Jago to the work environment and empowering employee productivity.
Yusuf Aria Putera then explained about the development of the industry and banking transactions. Yusuf then explained about evaluation from developments and opportunities in the banking industry, both demographically and technologically. Yusuf also added about the trend of the fintech industry with the emergence of many multipurpose platforms such as GoPay, SeaBank, and Investree. Yusuf then concluded that there is a need for an orchestration of a connected and supportive banking ecosystem. This is the operational basis and excellence of Bank Jago. In addition, Bank Jago also puts forward the characteristics of its simple, innovative, and collaborative features. “Live to the fullest with your family and friends”, that is the motto of Bank Jago which is also the hope Bank Jago wants to realize with its loyal customers. Webinar MD Refo then ended with the announcement of lucky draw winners.
