The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA., congratulated all the graduates of the Professional Accountant Program who have officially earned the title of accountant. The achievement resulted from hard work, perseverance, and dedication during their studies in the Professional Accountant Program.
"This graduation ceremony marks the end of the graduates' academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their professional careers in accounting. The title of accountant that you have earned and the professional certifications that you have or will earn, such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), represent a significant trust and responsibility that you must carry," he stated on Friday (27/9).
Didi said that the accounting profession must continually adapt and innovate amid global economic dynamics and rapid technological advancements. He believes that the knowledge, skills, and values of integrity instilled in graduates during their studies will serve as crucial assets as they face various challenges in the professional world.
"Be accountants who are not only technically competent but also uphold high professional ethics, are capable of providing innovative solutions, and contribute to the economic development and welfare of society," he added.
Didi also advised the graduates to remain lifelong learners. He hopes they will continue cultivating a passion for learning, remain open to new knowledge, and uphold the good name of their alma mater.
"Once again, congratulations. May the knowledge you have acquired benefit you, your family, society, and the nation. May you embark on the road to success and continue to contribute to advancing the accounting profession in Indonesia and globally," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Professional Education Program, Sony Warsono, MAFIS., Ph.D., Ak., CA., reported that in this graduation ceremony, 14 graduates received the cum laude distinction.
