KIP RI visit

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), received a visit from the Commissioners of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KIP RI) on Thursday, November 28, 2024. The visit was conducted as part of the monitoring and evaluation (monev) process of the 2024 Public Information Openness (KIP) at UGM, including the implementation at the FEB UGM Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID).

Before this, the KIP RI team led by Dispute Resolution Commissioner Syawaluddin, M.H., and Institutional Affairs Commissioner Handoko, S.Sos. conducted a visit to UGM as the Primary PPID. The team was received directly by the Rector of UGM, Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed, Sp.OG(K), Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service and Alumni, Dr. Arie Sujito, and the Primary PPID, who also serves as the University Secretary, Dr. Andi Sandi.

The visit is part of the 2024 assessment phases for public information openness in public institutions. All of UGM’s Implementing PPIDs participated in the event, which took place in UGM’s Multimedia Room.

After reviewing documents and checking service facilities at the UGM Primary PPID office, the KIP RI team visited the FEB UGM Implementing PPID. The delegation was welcomed by FEB UGM Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., accompanied by the Implementing PPID, Nur Bakti Susilo, S.E., Ak.

During their visit to FEB UGM, the KIP RI team was invited to tour several facilities that support the faculty’s commitment to openness. These facilities include the FEB UGM Integrated Office, Services for Persons with Disabilities, and the FEB UGM PPID Implementation Office. This visit highlighted FEB UGM’s commitment to providing inclusive and transparent public information services through Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information Openness.

Dr. Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo emphasized that the openness of public information is integral to FEB UGM’s academic and administrative services. He reiterated FEB UGM’s commitment to providing accountable and quality information services to the academic community and the public.

“We are committed to continuously improving the quality of our information services, including by providing facilities accessible to all members of society, physically and digitally,” he said.

The KIP RI team recognized FEB UGM’s efforts to provide transparent and accountable public information services. This evaluation is part of an annual monitoring and evaluation process on implementing information openness in various higher education institutions. Commissioner Syawaluddin, M.H., held discussions with the FEB UGM PPID Implementation Team, confirmed the types of information requests frequently received, and reviewed various initiatives undertaken to provide information services to the academic community and the public.
