In commemoration of the 65th Anniversary (Lustrum XIII), the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held two annual international conference, namely The 8th Gadjah Mada International Conference on Economics and Business (GAMAICEB) and The 5th Gadjah Mada International Conference on Islamic (GAMAICI). The event was held online last Saturday (12/9).
GAMAICEB is an annual international conference that aims to provide a forum for participants to convey ideas and research results related to the latest economic and business issues. Meanwhile, GAMAICI is an international conference on Islam which is divided into 3 conferences, namely GAMAICIED (Economics and Development), GAMAICIAF (Accounting and Finance), and GAMAICIBR (Business Research). This year's GAMAICI carries the big theme "Pandemic, Humanitarianism and Business Resilience: Some Notes from an Islamic Economics Perspective".

As part of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UGM), the Undergraduate Program of Accounting Study Program offers a curriculum design that helps students understand economics. This is very important because the accounting function can protect the public interest. In fact, accounting is a process of identifying, recording, and communicating economic transactions to be analyzed and interpreted by users for decision making (Weygandt et al., 2015). The accounting information includes the profit/loss generated by the business, the condition of equity, the value of assets and trade payables, and the company's cash flow. This information will later be used by internal and external users in various business decisions.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact, especially from the many changes in regulatory and policy aspects, especially challenges in the accounting and education sectors. Therefore, on Friday (4/9) the Professional Accountant Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM in collaboration with the Indonesian Chartered Accountants (IAI) and the Financial Accounting Lecturer Forum of the Indonesian Chartered Accountants-Educator Accountants Compartment (IAI-KAPd) held a National Seminar on Accounting and Regulation (SNAR) with the topic of "Accounting Education and the Accountant Profession in New Norms". The seminar was moderated by Zuni Barokah, M.Comm., Ph.D., CA. Lecturer at FEB UGM, who is also the Coordinator of the Studies Center for Accounting and Regulation. Present at the seminar, resource persons who are experts in the field of Accounting and Accountant Professional Education, including Prof. Dr. Ainun Na'im, MBA. As Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture as well as FEB UGM Lecturer, Djohan Pinnarwan as Chair of the IAI Financial Accounting Standards Board (DSAK) and Partner of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Indonesia, and Singgih Wijayana, M.Sc., Ph.D. as a FEB UGM Lecturer who also serves as a Member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (DSAK).

In commemoration of the 65th Anniversary (Lustrum XIII), the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, the Master of Accounting Study Program FEB UGM, collaborated with the Indonesian Chartered Accountants (IAI) Chapter DI Yogyakarta to hold a seminar entitled "Development Opportunities and Challenges Sharia Accounting” last Thursday(3/9). The event presented Prof. Dr. Bambang Sudibyo, MBA. (Chairman of the National Zakat Agency/BAZNAS and Professor of FEB UGM), Deden Firman Hendarsyah, M.Buss. (Director of Sharia Banking Regulation and Licensing at the Financial Services Authority / OJK), Drs. Fahmi Subandi, Akt., M.Agr. (Operational Director of BRI Syariah), Prof. Mahfud Sholihin, Ph.D. (Chairman of the Sharia Accounting Standards Board / DSAS at the Indonesian Institute of Accountants / IAI and Professor of FEB UGM), and Sutrisno Mukayan, MM., Akt. (Head of BRI Syariah Accounting and Finance Division) as the resource person. The event was moderated by Aprilia Beta Suandi, M.Ec., Ph.D. (Lecturer at the Department of Accounting, FEB UGM).

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held the "FEB Open Campus 2020" event. The event was held on Saturday (29/8), as part of a series of activities for the 65th Anniversary of FEB UGM (Lustrum XIII). FEB Open Campus is an event for high school students to get an overview of lectures and job prospects for FEB UGM graduates. The theme of this year's FEB Open Campus was "Responding the Pandemic by Elevating Knowledge and Social Concern with Integrity". Unlike the previous years, FEB Open Campus 2020 was held online through the Zoom Meetings Platform. The opening remarks were delivered by the Dean of FEB UGM, Eko Suwardi, M.Sc, Ph.D. "If you are interested in entering FEB UGM, (it) is a very appropriate place," he said.

In the framework of the 65th Anniversary (Lustrum XII), the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing UGM held a seminar with the theme of Work-life Balance in the Pandemic Situation. The seminar was held through two platforms, namely Cisco Webex and live streaming on Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis UGM YouTube channel, and was attended by students, lecturers, educational staff, and the public participant. The seminar was guided by a moderator, Amanda Acintya, SE., M.Sc. The resource person for this seminar is Prof. Dra. R.A. Yayi Suryo Prabandari, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Professor of FKKMK UGM.
