The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), has established a strategic partnership with PT Taspen. The collaboration covers the three pillars of higher education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi): teaching, research, and community service.
The cooperation took place through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Ovita Susiana Rosya (Director of Human Resources and Information Technology at PT Taspen) and Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari (Dean of FEB UGM). This took place on Thursday, 11 December 2025, in the Auditorium of the Master of Accounting Programme at FEB UGM.
Ovita Susiana Rosya stated that the collaboration aims to enhance the quality of learning, research, and human resource development that is adaptive to digital technological advancements and the needs of industry.
“This MoU serves an essential purpose as a guideline for the implementation of cooperation in the fields of education, human resource training, and research,” she said.
She explained that the partnership includes the development of collaborative research, the organization of scientific activities such as seminars and workshops, academic studies, and knowledge-based training programs for PT Taspen employees. According to her, investment in human resource development is a key factor for companies in facing future challenges.
Ovita also emphasized that career opportunities at PT Taspen are widely open to the UGM academic community. Currently, PT Taspen’s workforce is predominantly composed of the millennial generation, accounting for 97 percent of employees. Furthermore, millennials occupy 93 percent of managerial positions, while women hold 39 percent of leadership roles.
On the same occasion, PT Taspen also donated learning equipment in the form of four laptop units to FEB UGM. This contribution represents PT Taspen’s support for improving the quality of education and facilitating access to technology to support research activities.
Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com. Akt., CA., welcomed the collaboration and emphasized the importance of implementing the agreed MoU concretely. He expressed hope that the partnership would open opportunities for internships, applied research, and the development of innovative learning for students.
Didi added that the collaboration creates opportunities for developing micro-credentials and online learning. This enables students and professionals to participate in flexible learning programmes that count towards academic achievements. This scheme is expected to address time constraints, particularly for working students and employees. Furthermore, FEB UGM, through its various master’s programs and the Research and Development for Social Impact (RDSI) unit, is ready to support PT Taspen in policy research, the development of internal learning modules, and strategic studies with social impact.
