Universitas Gadjah Mada
Since its establishment on 19 September 1955, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM) has been an integral part of the journey of economic and business education in Indonesia. Over more than seven decades, FEB UGM has continued to develop and expand its contributions at both the national and global levels. The legacy built by successive generations serves as the foundation for FEB UGM to continue growing and responding to changing times.
The quality of education has been a vital component of this journey. This commitment to educational quality is reflected in various achievements, including being the first business school in Indonesia to receive AACSB International accreditation in 2014, with reaccreditation in 2019 and 2024, covering all 13 study programs across its three departments. At the national level, all 14 study programs at FEB UGM were awarded the ‘Excellent’ rating by the Accreditation Agency for Economics, Management, Business and Accounting Programs (LAMEMBA) in 2025.
International networks also support the strengthening of FEB UGM’s position through membership and collaboration with, amongst others, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Global Business School Network (GBSN), the Network of International Business and Economic Schools (NIBES), Partnership of Asian Management Schools (PAMS), the ASEAN University Network-Business and Economics (AUN-BE), and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).
FEB UGM continues on this journey by reaffirming its mission to nurture future leaders in economics and business to advance sustainability. Amidst the world’s rapidly changing landscape, FEB UGM continues to adapt and develop its capabilities to remain relevant, whilst utilizing these changes to generate knowledge, innovation, and solutions that deliver tangible benefits.
Through collaboration, synergy, and support from all stakeholders, including students, lecturers, academic staff, alums, parents, the business community, the government, and partners, FEB UGM will continue to play a vital role in its own development. Driven by a spirit of continuous learning, collaboration, and adaptation, FEB UGM is further strengthening its role in nurturing leaders who can promote sustainability and make a meaningful impact on society, Indonesia, and the world.
Best wishes.
