FEB UGM Students Won the 3rd Place on Smart Accounting Competition 2018 at Universitas Negeri Yogyakara

The Smart Accounting Competition (SAC) 2018 is an Accounting Competition held by the Accounting Education Student Association of the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. This year’s theme of the Smart Accounting Competition was "Accounting to Face the 4.0 Industry." This competition had the aim of realizing a prestigious, innovative, and competitive generation, in facing the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 through Accounting Competition. The Smart Accounting Competition (SAC) 2018 was divided into 4 rounds, those were online preliminary round, elimination round, semifinal round, and final round. The online preliminary round took place on Saturday, November 3, 2018. The elimination round until the final round were held at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
There were 70 teams from various universities in Indonesia participating Smart Accounting Competition (SAC) 2018. The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) was represented by Team Grande, consisting of Andrian Wijaya (Accounting 2016), Muhammad Nurindra Mudzakir (Accounting 2016), and Ahmad Fauzi (Accounting 2016). Team Grande FEB UGM managed to become one of the 20 teams that qualified for the elimination round. After the elimination round, consisting of multiple choice questions, Team Grande FEB UGM was qualified for the semifinal. The semifinal round consisted of case study and presentation. In the semifinal round, they got the highest points and managed to the final round.
There were three teams competing in final round, those were Team Grande FEB UGM, a team from the Department of Economics and Business of the Vocational School of Universitas Gadjah Mada, and a team from Tarumanegara University. In the final round, Team Grande FEB UGM got the third place. The first place was taken by the team from Tarumanegara University and the second place was taken by the team from the Department of Economics and Business of the Vocational School of Universitas Gadjah Mada.
