180 Degrees Consulting UGM Wins 3rd Place for Best Consulting Project Regional Asia-Pacific

180 Degrees Consulting UGM (180DC UGM) won a bronze medal for the Best Consulting Project award given for the Strategic Market Entry Plan to Indonesia for Planet Protector Packaging and was awarded the title of Best New Branch in the Asia Pacific Region. This award was given by 180 Degrees Consulting Global which was presented through the Global Awards Ceremony on Saturday (13/11).
As an international organization, 180 Degrees Consulting provides consulting services to non-profit and social entities in various countries. In addition, this organization also has more than 10,000 student consultants who are selected and professionally trained in dealing with clients in need. The projects that have been carried out have exceeded 5,200 projects, ranging from the education, health, environment, and other sectors.
The 180DC branch at UGM itself was only established in November 2020 as the first branch in Indonesia. 180DC UGM was originally formed by UGM students with the aim of providing a positive social impact for people who need consulting services. The establishment of the UGM branch is inseparable from the active role of Faculty of Economics and Busines - Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) students. A number of students who pioneered the formation of 180DC UGM and occupied strategic positions in the organization in Batch 1 (2020/2021) including Veronika Xaveria (Management-IUP 2016) as President, Christian Dwi Budiman (Management 2018) as Director of Marketing, Erica Lesmana (Accounting 2017) as Director of Consulting, Abyan Irsyad (Management-IUP 2017) as Director of Client Engagement, and Yudhi Permadi (Accounting 2017) as Director of Finance and Legal.
After the Batch 1 period ended, their role was continued by the successors from other FEB UGM students. In Batch 2 for the 2021/2022 term, there are Cita Amalia Husna (Accounting-IUP 2019) who acts as Director of Consulting, Mathew Ihot Lorenz (Economics-IUP 2019) as Director of Consulting, Hanna Wida Kiana (Accounting-IUP 2018) as Director of Client Engagement, and Anissya Isabelle Viary (Accounting-IUP 2018) as Director of Finance.
The award obtained is the result of the struggle of all members of 180DC UGM in providing quality and affordable consulting services for MSMEs, non-profit entities, and non-governmental entities. The bronze medal award for Best Consulting Project that was obtained by 180DC UGM at the Asia Pacific regional level was based on an assessment of the quality of consultation, social impact, and client feedback from the project being undertaken. With this Asia Pacific bronze medal award, UGM has succeeded in overtaking Monash University in first position (gold medal) and IIT Kharagpur in second position (silver medal).
Representing Indonesia, 180DC UGM was also named the Best New Branch for the Asia Pacific Region. This award is one of the Global Branch Award awards with the titles Most Improved Branch, Most Innovative Branch, Best New Branch, and Best Overall Branch for each region of America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. This achievement is expected to be a motivation for 180DC UGM to always provide the best consultation for its clients and achieve other international degrees and awards in the next period.
