The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), officially graduated 207 undergraduate students (S1) in the 2024/2025 Academic Year, Period IV, on Wednesday (August 27) at the FEB UGM Plaza. The following day, the graduates joined thousands of other UGM students in Thursday’s commencement ceremony at Grha Sabha Pramana UGM (August 28).
In this period, FEB UGM conferred degrees upon 72 graduates from the Accounting program, 53 from the Economics program, and 82 from the Management program. The award for best overall graduate was presented to Grace Zefanya Octovella Situmorang from the Economics program, with a study duration of 3 years, 11 months, and 1 day, and a GPA of 3.97. The best graduate from the Management program was Firdausi Adiwijaya, with a study duration of 3 years, 11 months, and 8 days, and a GPA of 3.96. Meanwhile, Leony Gracea from the Accounting program was named best graduate with a study duration of 3 years, 10 months, and 29 days, and a GPA of 3.92.
Ahmad Nurazky Ajri from the Accounting program was the youngest graduate, aged 20 years, 10 months, and 12 days. Meanwhile, Azkya Maya Adisti achieved the fastest study completion time, finishing in three years, five months, and eight days. A total of 163 graduates earned the cum laude distinction.
Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Akt. expressed his congratulations and pride to all graduates who completed their undergraduate studies at FEB UGM. He hoped this achievement would mark the beginning of even greater milestones in the future.
“The journey ahead will certainly be full of challenges, but I believe that with lifelong learning and the values instilled at FEB UGM, you will be able to make real contributions to the nation and humanity,” he stated.
He emphasized that graduation is a marker of completing undergraduate education and reflects academic achievement and meaningful contributions at national and international levels.
On this occasion, Didi also recognized several graduates who achieved accomplishments at the national and international levels. Among them, Dinda Redinata Fadilah (Accounting, 2021), Yovania Maria Angelita Panjaitan (Accounting, 2021), and Grace Zefanya Octovella Situmorang (Economics, 2021) won 3rd Place & Most Agile Team at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Mainland China & South-East Asia Business Challenge 2024. Haniyah Nur Hasanah (Economics, 2021) secured 1st Place at the National Student Competition in Business, Management, and Finance (KBMK) 2024, while Ali Alexander (Management, 2021) achieved 1st Place in the International Stock Portfolio Analysis Competition 2025.
Furthermore, students also received various forms of academic support and opportunities during this graduation period. These included 32 graduates who were recipients of the KIPK and Bidikmisi scholarships, four graduates who received the KAFEGAMA 89 scholarship, and three awardees of the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA): Putri Nafisah Intani (Accounting, 2021) to Sophia University, Japan; Farrel Ryandanendra Putra (Management, 2021) to Sapienza Università, Rome; and Rohinun (Economics, 2021) to Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Spain.
Didi added that these achievements prove that FEB UGM students can compete on a global scale.
“These accomplishments demonstrate that FEB students excel academically and in making their mark at the international level. May these achievements inspire other students to continue developing themselves in the future,” he concluded.
