The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) graduated 312 master’s and doctoral students at the First Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Tuesday (21/10/2025). The graduates are expected to continue honing their thinking, communication, and behavioural skills after leaving university.
The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FEB UGM, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., congratulated the graduates on their achievements. He also advised the graduates to continue developing three key skills to prepare them for the professional world.
First, critical and logical thinking skills are essential to analyze issues in depth and make informed decisions. Second, strong communication skills to convey ideas effectively and persuasively in various professional contexts. Third, ethical behaviour is a manifestation of integrity and moral responsibility in every action.
“There are three things I hope graduates will have, namely the ability to think critically with good logic, the ability to convey ideas verbally with appropriate rhetoric, and most importantly, the ability to behave ethically,” he explained when sending off postgraduate graduates from the Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) Program at FEB UGM on Tuesday (21/10).
At this graduation ceremony, FEB UGM successfully graduated six graduates with a Master of Science in Accounting, 45 graduates with a Master of Accounting, five graduates with a Master of Science in Economics, 27 graduates with a Master of Science in Management, 32 graduates with a Master of Development Economics, 72 graduates with a Master of Management from the Yogyakarta Campus, and 112 graduates of the Master of Management programme at the Jakarta Campus. In addition, FEB UGM also graduated Doctor of Management graduates, 10 Doctor of Accounting graduates, and 2 Doctor of Economics graduates.
Sarjiman achieved the highest GPA in this postgraduate graduation period from the Master of Management programme at the Jakarta Campus with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.97, which he achieved during his 1 year, 6 months, and 24 days of study at the age of 49 years, 1 month, and 12 days.
Furthermore, the graduate with the shortest study period was Raden Roro Widya Ningtyas Soeprajitno from the Doctoral Programme in Accounting, who completed her studies in 2 years, 10 months, and 27 days, achieving a GPA of 3.78. The youngest graduate was Fitri from the Master of Science in Management programme, who graduated at the age of 26 years, 7 months, and 10 days with a GPA of 3.57.
