FEB UGM Holds Online Graduation in the Middle of Corona Virus Pandemic

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) hold a graduation ceremony to celebrate the undergraduate graduation of the final level students that have successfully completed their studies on Tuesday (5/19). The graduation ceremony, which is usually held at the Learning Center Building FEB UGM, is now carried out online because of the physical distancing policy. Even though it was held online, the nuances of emotion and joy are seen from the faces of the graduates and families. Graduation ceremony is still carried out as graduation in general, but not accompanied by a photo session. The dean and his staff also attended the online graduation ceremony.
"It is an extraordinary gift for all of us, although, in an atmosphere of apprehensive, our younger siblings have successfully graduated as the bachelor graduates of FEB UGM," said Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D., the Dean of FEB UGM, in his speech.
At the 3rd graduation period of the Academic Year 2019/2020, 24 students were declared as officially Bachelor of Economics. As many as 13 students have recorded cumlaude honors with a Grade Point Average (GPA) exceeding 3.50. Graduates with the highest GPA of both Regular Undergraduate and International programs were successfully achieved by Fadhil Nadhif Muharam (Economics 2016) with a GPA of 3.94. Meanwhile, Ghoniyah Indah Mutiara (Accounting 2016) managed to become the fastest graduate with a length of study for 3 years 6 months 11 days.
