Family Fun Day 2023

In a series of the 68th Anniversary of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Sunday (17/9), FEB UGM celebrated its anniversary by inviting the FEB UGM extended family: lecturers, students, educational staff (tendik), and alums from each FEB UGM unit in Family Fun Day (FFD). FFD Dies Natalis FEB UGM starts at 06.00 am at the main entrance of FEB UGM. The FEB UGM extended family gathered, made a presence, wore Dies Natalis 68 FEB UGM polo shirts, and then moved together towards the UGM hall. The FEB UGM family’s convoy was enlivened with laughter and stories from each faculty member.

Arriving at Balairung, the FEB UGM extended family carried out Gemu Fa Mi Re (Maumere) gymnastics and flash mobs to raise spirits and strengthen the body. After the gymnastics and flash mob, representatives of the FEB UGM family inaugurated the FFD by releasing 68 birds, accompanied by applause from the community. Not to forget, the FEB UGM extended family immortalized this moment by taking a group photo. Next, the FEB UGM family returned to the main FEB UGM building to eat, drink and take pictures. At FEB UGM, a health examination booth is also provided. FEB UGM carries out these physical and health activities in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 3: Good health and well being. Collaboration with food catering, 360° photo booths and health check providers is also a manifestation of SDGs goal 17: Partnership for the goals.

FFD was also enlivened with various door prizes, performances from Dharma Wanita, and other performances. The FEB UGM extended family enjoyed the FFD’s hospitality. Naura Ardeny (Accounting 2021) and Wandana Karuna (Accounting 2021) said, “From the start to Balairung and all the FFD activities, it was really exciting.” said the two of them. “Hopefully, FEB can achieve its goals,” hoped Naura, “and hopefully, FEB can become a pioneer in the field of sustainability,” added Wanda. Happy 68th Anniversary of FEB UGM. We hope FEB UGM will always be successful in realizing its vision and mission, and I hope the big family of FEB UGM will always be united and harmonious.
