FEB UGM and OJK Organize OJK Goes to Campus: Strengthening Financial Services Sector Governance

In order to educate the public, especially students, regarding the function of the OJK in the governance of the financial services sector (FSS), on Monday (25/9), the Republic of Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) Yogyakarta Regional Office collaborated with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM) held the OJK Goes to Campus activity entitled "Strengthening Financial Services Sector Governance." OJK Goes to Campus is carried out hybrid in the Learning Center Auditorium on the 8th floor of FEB UGM and on the Zoom Meetings platform. This activity began with remarks by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D.
OJK Goes to Campus continues into the main session, namely a presentation on the functions of OJK. This activity was moderated by Arizona Mustikarini, Ph.D, lecturer at the Accounting Department, FEB UGM and presented by a resource person, namely Sophia Wattimena, Chair of the Audit Board and Member of the Board of Commissioners of the Indonesian Financial Services Authority. Sophia introduced OJK to students. Specifically, this includes the functions, duties and authority of the OJK in accordance with applicable laws and regulations (UU). This consists of the OJK's function in carrying out an integrated regulatory and supervisory system for all activities within the FSS. Sophia also socialized that in carrying out its functions, OJK has an anti-bribery program. Overall, this activity is certainly in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), goal 4 Quality Education and Goal 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth.
After a complete presentation by the resource person, Arizona opened a question and answer session, which was enthusiastically attended by all FEB students and participants both online and offline. OJK Goes to Campus ended with a joint prayer guided by Jundi Al Fikri (Management 2021). Lastly, participants and speakers take some photos together.
