BILA FEB UGM Donates 120 Million Rupiah to Support Students' Education

Alums of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), Class of 1982, also known as Bina Ikatan Delapan Dua (BILA), have donated Rp 120,000,000 to FEB to support students' educational activities. The donation will be used to provide scholarships for undergraduate students from underprivileged families and scholarships for thesis assistance. The donation was handed over during the 42nd BILA Reunion held on Friday (2/7) at the FEB UGM.
The chairman of the 42nd BILA FEB UGM reunion committee, Drs. Purnawan Hardiyanto, M.Ec.Dev. stated that FEB UGM alum class of 1982 formed the BILA foundation in 1983. In addition to serving as a means for its members to strengthen ties, this foundation also aims to enhance its contribution to the faculty and the broader community.
"Through the BILA foundation, we want to help the wider community and our alma mater, such as by providing this educational assistance of Rp 120,000,000," he explained.
Aside from providing educational scholarships, BILA also donated 100 orchid plants and equipment to support the volleyball activities of FEB UGM.
On this occasion, Purnawan also shared that the BILA Foundation has undertaken various other social activities, such as providing 1 million liters of water to the residents of Gunung Kidul Regency.
One hundred and two participants attended the 1982 reunion. The event was also attended by the entire Dean's Office, including the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources, Suyanto, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D., and Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D.
Addressing hundreds of alums from the Class of 1982, FEB UGM Dean Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., said that FEB UGM has successfully maintained its AACSB accreditation, first received in 2014, with reaccreditation in 2019 and 2024.
"The success of FEB UGM's accreditation cannot be separated from the role and support of alumni, as the accreditation process considers alumni outcomes and whether FEB UGM's mission is reflected in them," he said.
The Dean also expressed his gratitude to the FEB UGM Alumni Class of 1982 for their educational assistance to FEB UGM students. The assistance provided will support the students' smooth study and learning process during their college years.
