SIDEK ERP

The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) continues to innovate and support digital transformation, especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This initiative has been realized by developing a web-based application called SIDEK-ERP (Sistem Debit Kredit Enterprise Resource Planning).

Simplification of Financial Reporting

This system was developed by the Center for Information Systems Studies (PKSI) at FEB UGM to help MSMEs integrate Enterprise Resource Planning. Fitri Amalia, Ph.D., the coordinator of PKSI UGM, explained that SIDEK-ERP provides comprehensive solutions that include various essential modules such as accounting, finance, sales, inventory, and purchasing.

“SIDEK-ERP is designed to simplify the analysis of financial data, minimize the risk of recording errors, facilitate bookkeeping, and enable the preparation of financial reports easily, quickly, and reliably,” Fitri said on Tuesday (10/12/2024) during the International Conference of Community Engagement and Exhibition 2024 at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Center (GIK). SIDEK-ERP was one of the flagship social impact innovations showcased at the event.

Since its launch in 2023, SIDEK-ERP has been used by nearly 1,000 users ranging from MSMEs and vocational school students to university students in regions such as Yogyakarta, Sleman, Surabaya, and Bandung. The program was developed as part of FEB UGM’s community service efforts to promote digitization and operational efficiency for MSMEs in Indonesia.

“Currently, SIDEK-ERP has 984 users, consisting of 328 MSMEs, 600 university students, and 56 vocational school students,” said the FEB UGM Accounting Department lecturer.

SIDEK-ERP Modules

The accounting module is designed to flexibly manage account lists and journals, integrating all accounting data from other modules. It includes account lists, opening balances, journal entries, general ledgers, reports, and configurations.

The Finance module facilitates cash flow and overall financial management, ensuring accurate and strategic financial decisions. It includes cash management functions.

In an organized system, the Purchasing module simplifies the procurement process for goods and services, from receiving items to paying suppliers. It includes discounts, taxes, vendor lists, and accounts payable.

The Sales module supports all sales processes, from ordering and delivery to invoicing and receivables tracking. It includes discounts, taxes, customer lists, and accounts receivable.

The Inventory module makes tracking and managing inventory easy, providing optimal warehouse management. Features include product categories, units, and product lists.

PKSI FEB UGM actively promotes the application through social media platforms and training sessions to encourage wider adoption and use. The application can be tested by registering at bit.ly/form-sidekerp.

Nasfa Yanti, the CEO of Aisyah Craft, one of FEB UGM’s MSMEs, admitted that the SIDEK-ERP platform has been a great help to her business, especially in financial reporting.

“Until now, we have been using Excel for manual financial reporting. With SIDEK-ERP, financial reporting has become much easier, and we can track incoming and outgoing goods,” she explained.

With SIDEK-ERP, FEB UGM is demonstrating its commitment to supporting sustainable development in Indonesia. The platform facilitates resource management for MSMEs and accelerates inclusive digital transformation. The initiative aligns with SDG goals by providing quality educational opportunities, driving inclusive economic growth, and building innovative infrastructure.
