The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) held its annual research dissemination day, FEB UGM Research Day 2024, on Friday, December 13, 2024. During the event, FEB UGM showcased dozens of research projects by faculty members, students, and collaborative teams funded by FEB UGM research grants.

Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., FEB UGM’s associate dean for research, community service, collaboration, and alumni, shared that FEB UGM Research Day has been held since 2019. This event is an important platform for faculty to present their grant-funded research results. In 2024, 57 research projects were showcased in various parallel sessions.

“This year, we are presenting 57 research proposals supported by grants. Today, we will see the results of various research projects conducted by our colleagues, including those in collaboration with partners,” Gumilang said during the FEB UGM Research Day 2024 opening ceremony on Friday (12/13) at the FEB UGM Learning Center Building.

Gumilang explained that the research projects presented at the FEB UGM Research Day covered various topics under “Sustainability Frontier in Economics and Business”. The topics ranged from accounting, taxation, management, Islamic economics, labor and economic development, finance, entrepreneurship, climate, and gender to health.

With this diversity of research topics, Gumilang expressed the hope that faculty and students will enhance their contributions to create a meaningful impact in academia and society.

“We hope that the research presented today will be useful and serve as a basis for policymaking in various sectors,” Gumilang concluded.
