The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), graduated 37 new accountants on Friday, 14/11/2025, at FEB UGM. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM, conveyed a message encouraging the new accountants to apply the knowledge, integrity, and professional ethics they have gained during their studies.

“Be accountants who are not only technically competent, but also uphold strong integrity and understand global issues,” Bayu said.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IAPI), Tarkosunaryo, MBA., Ak, CA., CPA, delivered a scientific oration titled “Becoming an Accountant with Integrity in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Leading Sustainability and Innovation.” He stated that advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) will fundamentally transform accounting practices.

Effective communication, leadership, and negotiation skills are essential factors that support career success. Budi Yanto, Managing Director of PT Media Sarana Data (GMEDIA), stated that soft skills are a crucial determinant of success in one’s career.

The increasing vulnerability among the non-poor has emerged as a new challenge for Indonesian society today. At the same time, the middle class continues to shrink, and demographic pressures from an aging population are intensifying.

The Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM), actively participated in the Master Studies in Sustainable Development and Management (MASUDEM) Final Conference, which took place on November 13–14, 2025, at ICO NIDA, Bangkok.
