
The Alumni Family of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Master of Development Economics (KAFEGAMA MEP) officially inaugurated the Executive Board and Regional Boards of KAFEGAMA MEP for the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java for the 2025–2028 period. Amin Purwani, S.H., M.Ec.Dev. was re-elected as the Chairperson of KAFEGAMA MEP, continuing her leadership from the previous term.
As the Chairperson of the KAFEGAMA MEP FEB UGM Executive Board for the 2025–2028 period, Amin Purwani, S.H., M.Ec.Dev. Affirmed her commitment to strengthening collaboration both at the central and regional levels. She also expressed plans to develop KAFEGAMA at the regional level to expand its network further.
“In this period, we agreed to establish provincial-level chapters to broaden our network. The Central Java region is already in place, as are Yogyakarta, East Java, and Banten. We hope not only to focus on human resource development but also to contribute to the nation through our respective regions.”
She stated. Amin, who also serves as the Head of the Education and Training Agency of Yogyakarta, delivered the remarks during the inauguration ceremony on Friday (August 26, 2025) at the MEP UGM campus.
The Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni Affairs of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., noted that KAFEGAMA MEP FEB UGM is one of the alumni families with a robust regional network. Various annual activities reflect this, such as campus visits, capacity development programmes, and alums gatherings.
“We invite and look forward to collaborating with other KAFEGAMA chapters to contribute in our respective fields and to continue supporting MEP FEB UGM’s promotional activities.” He said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Advisory Board of KAFEGAMA MEP UGM, who also serves as the Director General of Land and Spatial Control and Regulation (PPTR) at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Ir. H. Jonahar, M.Ec.Dev., who attended virtually, encouraged the KAFEGAMA MEP board to contribute to national development actively. One possible initiative is involvement in programs under the PPTR Directorate General, such as developing land value-based zoning systems.
