The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, held a Halal Bihalal gathering on Monday (March 30) at the 8th Floor Auditorium of the Learning Center Building. The event provided an important moment for the academic community to strengthen bonds of fellowship and reinforce a spirit of togetherness.
The event, which took place in a warm, familial atmosphere, attracted faculty leaders, lecturers, professional staff, student organisation representatives, Dharma Wanita Persatuan, and institutional partners.
The Dean of FEB UGM, Didi Achjari, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to reconnect after observing the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized that Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection, fostering self-control, strengthening piety, and enhancing social awareness.
“As human beings, we are not free from mistakes. Through this Halal Bihalal momentum, we forgive one another and reopen the doors of brotherhood that may have once been closed,” he stated.
He also highlighted the importance of maintaining unity and resolving differences peacefully, in line with Islamic values. According to him, the spirit of Eid al-Fitr should mark a new beginning, fostering more harmonious relationships and enhancing performance and contributions to the institution.
The event also featured the recitation of the Halal Bihalal pledge, led by a professional staff representative. Through this pledge, the entire FEB UGM community expressed their sincere apologies and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening relationships, fostering mutual respect, and working collaboratively to advance the faculty.
