Based on the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) No. 1226/UN1/FEB/SDM/KP/2022 concerning Grade Conversion and Credit Conversion in the Credit Transfer Process for the International Student Mobility Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), the following are the established procedures and regulations for credit transfer.
A. Purpose of the Credit Transfer Process
The credit transfer process determines the equivalence between credit weight and grading weight for courses taken by students in international mobility programs. This is done through an evaluation process that considers credit conversion guidelines, grade conversion guidelines, and course syllabi. The purpose is to ensure that students’ academic achievements obtained during the international mobility program can be formally recognized and recorded in their academic transcript within the FEB UGM environment.
B. Credit and Grade Conversion Regulations
- Grades obtained for each course taken at a partner university will be converted and recognized in the FEB UGM transcript as they are, in accordance with the applicable regulations at FEB UGM.
- Courses taken at partner universities through Dual Degree programs or Student Exchange programs prioritize the fulfillment of compulsory courses required for graduation from the study program within FEB UGM.
- Courses at partner universities that are equivalent to courses offered at FEB UGM cannot be taken if the student has previously completed those courses at FEB UGM.
- Students are required to fulfill the minimum credit requirements to be declared graduates of a study program within FEB UGM.
- Converted credits exceeding the minimum credit requirements for graduation may still be recognized and recorded in the transcript upon the student’s request, subject to approval from the Head of the Study Program, and will be used as the basis for calculating the cumulative grade point average (GPA).
- Students may choose courses to be transferred through the learning agreement submission mechanism.
- The Head of the Study Program within FEB UGM may review the learning agreement submitted by the student before the student participates in the international mobility program.
- The learning agreement for the credit transfer process must be submitted by the student and approved by the Head of the Study Program prior to the commencement of the international mobility program.
- The Head of the Study Program may determine the credit and grade conversion proposed by the student after completion of the international mobility program during the yudisium (academic evaluation meeting).

E. Credit Conversion Guidelines
Panduan konversi ini juga mempertimbangkan panduan resmi dari European Commission, khususnya European Education Area, The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) United Kingdom, Australian Government Department of Education and Training, serta kebijakan universitas-universitas mitra FEB UGM.
| Negara/Region | Sistem Kredit | SKS* |
| Asia | 1 credit | 1 |
| USA | 1 credit | 1 |
| European (ECTS) | 1 ECTS | 0.67 |
| UK (CATS) | 1 CATS | 0.33 |
| Australia | 1 point | 0.4 |
