The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) again received good news. On Friday (18/07), the Pairgrowth Team, consisting of Ali Alexander (Management 2021) and Elsa Firlyani (Property Management and Valuation SV 2021), won first place in the national Corporation Stock Analysis Competition (CSAC) 2023. CSAC is a collaborative competition organized by the Management Student Association and the Capital Market Study Group, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Halu Oleo. Through this competition, it is hoped that the younger generation will be able to analyze or evaluate the intrinsic value of a stock so that they are more selective in making investment decisions.
This competition took place from 29 May to 18 July 2023. After going through several stages, Team Pairgrowth became one of the seven selected finalists. Using a Top-Down approach, they achieved this position after conducting a comprehensive analysis of the ICBP company (PT Indofood CBP Tbk.). This paper considered macroeconomic, industry, company profile, competitive advantage, general and specific risks, financial, valuation (DCF, DDM, multiple valuation) aspects, and technical analysis. "Our comprehensive and in-depth approach to this analysis helps us understand ICBP comprehensively," said Ali.
Ali, as the team leader, revealed that the biggest challenge the Pairgrowth Team experienced came on 17 July 2023, when they presented in front of the judges. The judges included two lecturers from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Halu Oleo University and an organizer from the Southeast Sulawesi Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). "With confidence and deep knowledge, we managed to impress the juries with our comprehensive understanding of ICBP and thorough analysis," recalled Ali. The Pairgrowth team said they were happy and proud because their hard work and dedication were recognized in this competition. Congratulations to the Pairgrowth Team for your achievement and keep up the excellent work!
