EFL BCC UNES 2024

Three students from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), achieved brilliant achievements in the 2024 Economic Future Leader (EFL) Business Case Competition wich was held at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) in May, 7 2024. Three students are part of the team. Full Happy consists of Dzaky Ardhianto Thio Pratama (Accounting 2021), Juan Adriel (Accounting 2021), and Audira Nabila Raditianti (Accounting 2021).

This victory was obtained after the team went through a series of competition stages consisting of two stages, namely the preliminary and final stages. At the preliminary stage, the team was asked to collect proposals. Then, at the final stage, the team was asked to create a presentation deck regarding the solutions that had been prepared and presented in the proposal submitted at the initial stage.

The competition, which was titled “Utilizing Youth Creativity and Capability in Business Strategy to Achieve SDGs 2030,” was attended by teams of accounting students from various universities in Indonesia. The competition consists of three agendas: the business case competition, the “Start Your Achievement Through Business Case Competition”, and the “Innovation in Business: Strategies for Facing Business Challenges in the Digital Era”.

The 2024 EFL Business Case Competition provides participants with the opportunity to hone their creativity and critical thinking skills through a case study of PT Surya Kusuma Nusantara. This Occupational Safety and Health (K3) consulting company is facing the problem of job fluctuations and inconsistent and inconsistent quality of contract workers, according to company qualifications. Held online via Zoom Meeting, the team offered four solutions to problems related to workforce and project management being faced by the company, namely talent pool, outsource and freelance, training, and supervisor. The Director of the Surya Kusuma Group assessed this presentation session directly. Lutfi Arifiyanto, as one of the judges.

Dzaky, leader of the Full Happy team, stated that he did not expect it at all and felt happy to be the winner in this competition, considering that the case study and a large number of participants were quite challenging. “We find it difficult because we still don’t know this industry very well. However, with our brainstorming, we were finally able to find the best solution. Then, during the presentation, we received a lot of criticism and input from the jury, so we felt that it might be difficult for this team to get top 3. However, unexpectedly, we got 1st place. This was surprising and also a big lesson. for our group,” added Audira on a separate occasion.

This victory reflects the team’s dedication and hard work and strengthens the spirit of unity and collaboration among team members. This achievement results from joint efforts, strong determination, and commitment to achieving common goals. FEB UGM congratulates the Full Happy team on the successes!
