
Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) once again strengthens its commitment to international networking through participation in the Network of International Business and Economics Schools (NIBES) 29th Annual Meeting. In the meeting on July 2-4, 2025, at Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, FEB UGM was entrusted to host the NIBES Research Forum in the even semester of 2026.
Head of Global Relations and Mobility Office (GREAT) FEB UGM, Arizona Mustikarini, Ph.D., who attended the meeting, said this research forum would be a strategic collaborative space for researchers from 21 NIBES member universities.
“NIBES Research Forum 2026, which will be held around March, is expected to bring together researchers across countries to discuss strategic issues, such as sustainability and digital transformation, in the development of global economic and business education,” she explained on Tuesday (22/07) at FEB UGM.
The NIBES 2025 meeting was attended by 16 of the 21 members, resulting in several strategic agreements. In addition to the election of Dr. Sophie Peters from ICHEC Brussels as the new Secretary General of NIBES, the forum also launched the official LinkedIn NIBES account as a channel for communication and information dissemination between institutions. Then, Yuan Ze University offered a joint supervision program for doctoral programs (Ph.D.), with scholarships from the Taiwanese government.
Arizona said that through the meeting, FEB UGM also explored several new cooperation opportunities in education and research with various strategic partners. Some of these partners are Blinket University, Truki; Caucasus University, Georgia; Clermont; ESAN, Peru; ESCA, Morocco; ICHEC, Brussels; ISCTE, Portugal; Krakow University; Orebro University, Sweden; Orebro University, Sweden; Pforzheim, Germany; Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, and University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
