The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), and the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) of Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, held an in-person strategic dialogue on inter-university cooperation at the Kertanegara meeting room on Tuesday (11/2/2024). During the meeting, various opportunities for collaboration were discussed, including joint research, student exchange, joint supervision, double degree programs, and scholarships for research students.
During the meeting, the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Collaboration, and Alumni of FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D., introduced the fourteen degree programs offered by FEB UGM, spanning undergraduate to doctoral levels. He also expressed excitement about the potential collaboration with Mendel University in Brno, especially in research and student exchange. Specifically, Gumilang hopes this partnership will further research within the Master of Sustainable Development Management (MASUDEM) project, which aims to promote sustainable development and job creation in Indonesia and Thailand.
Meanwhile, Marcel Ševela, Vice Dean for Quality, Strategy, and Accreditation at the Faculty of Economics, Mendel University in Brno, expressed their commitment to launching a joint research program. They are also open to cooperation with FEB UGM in organizing international academic activities, such as international conferences and summer and winter courses.
