The beginning of the year is the right time to rearrange plans and targets to be achieved, one of which is the education aspect. Finding the right and appropriate place to continue their studies is a high school student's problem. To overcome this, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM held an event open Campus 2023 on Tuesday (24/01) in the 8th floor Auditorium of the Learning Center Building. This event was attended by students of SMA PLUS Negeri 17 Palembang, MAN Insan Scholar Pekalongan, SMK N 1 Karanganyar, SMA Negeri 1 Pundong, SMK Negeri 1 Tempel, Labschool Kebayoran High School, and many more.
Event Open Campus starting with the remarks given by Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, S.E., M.A., Ph.D. as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni. Furthermore, the event continued with the delivery of material by Anggraeni Pranandari, S.E., M.Sc who is fondly called Dini as Academic Assistant for the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM about FEB UGM. In her presentation, Dini explained that UGM has 18 faculties, 2 schools, 278 study programs, 125 double degrees, and 23 research centers. She also said that UGM was ranked 231st globally according to the 2023 QS World University Ranking (WUR). In addition, Dini also explained that FEB UGM had been accredited with AACSB and BAN-PT.
Furthermore, Luluk Lusiantoro, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. as the head of the Global Relations and Mobility Office (GREAT) FEB UGM gave material regarding the opening of the IUP FEB UGM. He explained that in IUP UGM there are 3 departments, namely accounting, management, and economics. Luluk also explained the process of registering in the IUP FEB UGM program which starts from account registration, account verification, data entry, payment, document verification, and substantive tests, until the announcement of passing. Luluk also explained the partner universities that work with FEB UGM, namely the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Canada, USA, New Zealand, and many more.
The third speaker at this event was Victoria Ingrid Nathania, a student of FEB UGM who brought the topic "Life Inside FEB UGM: Study, Explore, and Prepare for the Future”. Victoria explained that FEB UGM was her goal of studying. Apart from that, he also talked about his activities while in college, such as participating in organizations, internships, scholarships, and competitions. Victoria also explained the concept of a balanced college life that can be done by determining the objectives of activities during college, planning what you want to do during college, trying many things in college, prioritizing coursework, and always remembering that college is not just about academic achievement.
