UM CBT UGM 2024

The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) is firmly committed to preventing cheating during the Universitas Gadjah Mada’s Computer-Based Test (UM-CBT) 2024. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean of FEB for Academic and Student Affairs, stated that FEB UGM has been trusted to host the UM-CBT 2024, which will be held from June 11-14, 2024, and July 2-4, 2024. To ensure the smooth execution of UM-CBT 2024, they have implemented several unique mechanisms to prevent cheating during the FEB UGM exam.

Following the directions from the central UM-CBT UGM committee, FEB will strictly supervise all exam participants to close any opportunities for cheating. FEB will carry out preventive measures before participants enter the exam room through physical checks and metal detectors.

“According to the Standard Operating Procedures from the Directorate of Education and Teaching at UGM, all participants will undergo checks before entering the exam room, including body checks and metal detector screenings, to ensure they do not use communication aids during the exam,” explained Bayu on Wednesday (June 12) at FEB UGM.

Before the exam, all participants will also have their identities verified. Supervisors will screen for completeness of identity and supporting documents such as the exam card, identity card, a photocopy of the diploma legalized with a wet school stamp, and a graduation certificate with identity and photo for 2024 graduates who have yet to receive their diplomas. The exam invigilator will conduct facial verification to match the participants with their identities.

“Upholding integrity is one of the main ethical values of FEB UGM, along with professionalism, objectivity and equality, academic freedom, and social responsibility. Therefore, the culture of integrity is a top priority to ensure no cheating occurs during the exam, in addition to ensuring the comfort of participants supported by health teams and other facilities,” he elaborated.

In support of UM-CBT UGM 2024, FEB UGM provides a total of seven rooms with a total capacity of 260 people spread across the Learning Center Building FEB UGM, the Master of Science and Doctorate Building FEB UGM, the Master of Management Building FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, and the Master of Development Economics Building FEB UGM. Furthermore, the exam implementation is supported by professional staff and lecturers acting as location supervisors, deputy location supervisors, room supervisors, room technicians, and invigilators.

UM-CBT UGM 2024 will be attended by 41.973 participants taking the exam in seven cities across Indonesia. Of this number, 32,414 will take the UM UGM CBT test in Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, 9,559 participants will take the UM UGM CBT test in Jakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Kupang. The entire UM CBT UGM in Yogyakarta will be conducted on the UGM campus, spread across 23 locations and 100 rooms.

UGM, in 2024, will admit 10,372 new students, consisting of 9,362 regular quota students and 1,010 IUP students. Based on the admission selection paths, UGM provides a new student quota of 2,821 students or 30 percent of the total regular capacity of 9,362 seats available for new student admissions in 2024. Meanwhile, the remaining 30 percent, or 2,821 students, is the quota for the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT), and 40 percent, or 3,720, is the quota for the Independent Selection (UM UGM PBU and UM UGM CBT).

Meanwhile, FEB UGM in 2024 has a capacity of 550 new students, including 400 regular quota students and 150 IUP quota students. Of the 400 regular quota students, 150 are for the Accounting program, 100 for the Economics program, and 150 for the Management program. The 150 IUP quota consists of 55 for the Accounting program, 60 for the Management program, and 35 for the Economics program.
