The 2nd floor of the Grha Sabha Pramana regained its position to be the witness of the atmosphere of relief and happiness for the postgraduates of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). On Wednesday (20/7) as many as were graduated and declared to have passed the Graduation Ceremony of the Postgraduate Program Period IV for the Academic Year 2021/2022. The ceremony started at 09.00 WIB with the accompaniment of gamelan chanting, continued by Indonesia’s National Anthem “Indonesia Raya”, and Mars UGM. The ceremony continued with the opening by the Rector of UGM, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med., Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D. Then, the ceremony continued with the reading and awarding of diplomas to the best graduates of each faculty.

On Wednesday (13/07) ISED in collaboration with the G20 Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG), the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), and the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Busniess UGM held a webinar, which was called ISED SERIES #19, online via Zoom Meetings. The topic raised in this webinar is about “Digitalization and Public Empowerment” and conducted by inviting three expert speakers related to the topic, namely Ganjar Pranowo, S.H., M.I.P., as Governor of Central Java Province, Rimawan Praditya, S.E., M.Sc., PhD., as the Head of the Department of Economics, FEB UGM, and Boni Pudjianto, PhD., as the Director of Information Empowerment at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.

To increase students' knowledge, various programs are provided by the campus as a means to develop. One of these programs is Study Abroad. To prepare students before running the program, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UGM held a Pre-Departure Training for Outgoing Students on Thursday (14/07). This activity is intended for undergraduate and master's study program students who are taking Double Degree, Exchange, and IISMA (Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards) programs.

Indonesia for the first time held the Presidency Group of 20 (G20), a cooperation forum for 20 major economies in the world. To support this G20 activity, the T20 was formed as a form of idea to carry out the G20.group was formed force which was managed in a decentralized manner that was adjusted to the expertise of research institutions. Task Force 8 which is one of the task forces at T20 will be represented by PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII), Economics and Business Research and Development (P2EB) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), and ERIA (Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia).

Meet the Expert #2 moderated by Shima Dewi Mutiara Trisna, S.E., M.Sc. Meet The Expert #2 discusses the big question of whether this Green Economy is feasible for developing countries like Indonesia, as well as the opportunities and challenges that Indonesia will face if implementing a Green Economy.
