The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) visited Katadata office in South Jakarta on Friday (April 25, 2025) to explore potential strategic collaborations.
The FEB UGM delegation was composed of Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, Ph.D (Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni), Prof. Gugup Kismono (Head of Research, Development, and Societal Impact/RDSI), Sari Sitalaksmi, Ph.D (Deputy Head of Research and Development in Management) and Dian Asmara Djati (Coordinator of Admission, Partnership, and Alumni Administration). The courtesy visit was warmly welcomed by Katadata Co-Founders Metta Dharmasaputra, Heri Susanto, and Ade Wahyudi.
The fruitful meeting emerged with a wide range of potential collaborative initiatives between FEB UGM and Katadata, particularly for joint research, publication, and funding applications, both domestic and international. The collaboration seeks to strengthen sustainability-related endeavors, including developing indexes for financial sustainability, waste management, circular economy, and household resilience, as well as disseminating research findings through policy briefs.
FEB UGM leverages its academic strengths and extensive networks, while Katadata enthusiastically contributes its strong capacity to broadly communicate data and resonate research insights for the public at large. Together, we aim to make a meaningful contribution to public policy making and community empowerment. This joint initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting quality education, developing sustainable cities and communities, encouraging responsible consumption and production, and strengthening strategic cross-sector partnerships to tackle global challenges.
