FEB UGM mengadakan Social Chic Donation untuk mengajak masyarakat mengurangi konsumsi fast fashion. Donasi pakaian bekas ini akan disalurkan ke panti asuhan dalam rangka Hari Anak.

The Department of Social and Community Affairs, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), held the Social Chic Donation as part of its Social Care Donation program on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) at the FEB UGM Hallway. This event aimed to raise public awareness about the negative impacts of consuming fast fashion products.

“Through this event, we want to encourage the public to be more mindful when buying clothes and to reduce fast fashion consumption,” said Vincentius Ario Pradipta Putra, Head of the Social Chic Donation Committee.

Vincentius added that proceeds from the donated and sold items would be distributed to orphanages to celebrate Children’s Day. The initiative began with a used clothing drive held from April 21 to 25, 2025. Collection boxes were placed in the FEB UGM hallway to gather donations. The activity was open to FEB students and welcomed participation from the broader UGM community.

We hope this activity will have a positive impact on those in need. The funds raised will be donated to orphanages and underprivileged communities,” Vincentius concluded.
