The entire family of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) is grieving for losing one of its best-retired lecturers, Dr. Harsono, M.Sc. His last breath was at the Gadjah Mada University Academic Hospital (RSA UGM) on Sunday (12/03/2023), 11.32 WIB, at the age of 88. The deceased was buried on Monday (13/03/2023), 10.00 WIB, at the Sawitsari Cemetery, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The location of funeral home is in Sawitsari C.5, Sleman, Yogyakarta.
Dr. Harsono was born in Semarang on July 3, 1935. He studied at UGM as an undergraduate. He continued his Master’s degree at The University of Wisconsin, United States. Then, he studied for his Doctoral degree at the University of Philippines, Philippines and graduated in 1980. He is a retired lecturer who has dedicated himself as a lecturer at the Department of Management FEB UGM for 62 years, from 1959-2021.
During his career, he was Chair of the Management Department of FEB UGM from 1980 to 1986. In addition, he was given the mandate as Assistant Dean III of FEB UGM in 1986-1988. He also made many achievements, including the Satya Lencana Karya Satya Award from the President in 1989 and the 25 Years of Loyalty Award from UGM in 1984.
Dr. Harsono, M.Sc., has a very excellent service for FEB UGM. The entire FEB UGM academic community felt deep sorrow over his passing. Let us pray that the deceased departed through the mercy of God and rest in peace. May the entire family left behind be given strength. Goodbye, Dr. Harsono, M.Sc.
