The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) continues to expand global opportunities for its students by organizing a double degree (DD) information session in collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands. Held on Monday (2/20/25) at FEB UGM, the session introduced Saxion University as one of FEB UGM’s long-standing academic partners, marking more than a decade of collaboration.
During the session, Dennis Vossen, Program Director of International Finance and Accounting at Saxion University, provided insights into the institution, which was founded in 1875. Today, Saxion University hosts over 26,500 students, including more than 3,000 international students from over 80 countries.
“Saxion University offers a multicultural learning environment with campuses in three major cities: Enschede, Deventer, and Apeldoorn,” he explained on Monday (2/3).
Vossen also highlighted the double degree program in collaboration with FEB UGM, which enables students to study at two institutions. Under this program, students complete their first six semesters at UGM before spending their final two semesters at Saxion University. Graduates earn two degrees—S.Ak/SE from UGM and BSc/BBA from Saxion University—enhancing their career prospects in both Indonesia and Europe.
“Students at Saxion University will engage in a research- and project-based learning experience in small international groups,” he added.
