The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM) is providing complimentary breakfast for its students during the Odd Semester Mid-Term Exam (UTS) period for the 2025/2026 academic year. This initiative, organized by the Career and Student Development Unit (CSDU), aims to support and encourage FEB UGM students through the “Mood Booster” program.

Through the Mood Booster program, FEB UGM serves 150 portions of breakfast daily during the exam period on October 16–17, 2025, featuring a variety of menus. These menus were curated based on student preference surveys conducted by the Peer Support team.

Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, emphasized that this program is part of FEB UGM’s efforts to maintain students’ spirits and well-being during the exam period.

“Mood Booster at FEB UGM is part of our effort to ensure that students feel happy and enjoy the exam period, both mid-term and final exams,” he said on Thursday (October 9, 2025) at FEB UGM.

In addition to nutritious meals, FEB UGM also provides free counseling services to help mitigate students’ anxiety and stress during the exam period.

“We hope students can face their exams with joy and achieve their best results, with zero tolerance for academic dishonesty,” Bayu added.

This semester’s Mood Booster carries the tagline “Special Support For You”, symbolizing FEB UGM’s commitment to supporting students in maintaining their enthusiasm and balance amid a hectic exam schedule.

Anisa Yuliandri, S.Psi., M.Psi., a psychologist from CSDU FEB UGM, explained that exam periods often come with considerable pressure and demands. This programme aims to help students cope better during this challenging time.

“We hope that through the Mood Booster program, students feel valued and supported during exams. It can serve as a positive push to help them achieve better academic performance,” she stated.

Students have enthusiastically welcomed the Mood Booster program. Muhammad Adam, an Accounting student from the 2023 cohort, said the program helped boost his motivation to start exam days with positive energy.

Andrea Uli S.Y. Napitupulu, a management student from the 2025 cohort, shared a similar sentiment, feeling grateful for the programme during exam season.

“As students, sometimes we don’t have time to prepare breakfast, especially with many expenses. I hope this program continues because it truly lifts students’ spirits to study and face exams,” she expressed.

Through the Mood Booster program, FEB UGM continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating a healthy academic environment that supports student well-being, especially during exams, by promoting positive energy and a balanced mindset.
